Is your commercial concrete parking lot looking worse for wear? Have you gone too long before making any repairs? If so, we are here to help. While most concrete lots don’t require much care, when a crack or pothole pops up, it’s always best to repair them as soon as possible. At Frison Construction, our
concrete experts can repair any damages that your concrete lot has including major and minor cracks, and small and large potholes.
As concrete is one of the most durable construction products available, it requires much less maintenance than gravel. This does not mean maintenance and repairs are completely canceled out, especially on commercial parking lots where there is heavy traffic. Certain steps to take care of your concrete parking lot yearly like annual cleaning and joint sealing will certainly help prolong the life of your lot, but some repairs are still unavoidable. What’s worse is that on commercial lots, a minor crack or pothole can grow very large, very quickly, meaning it’s important to promptly make the necessary repairs. Benefits to repairing your concrete commercial parking lot include:
Customer retention. The key to customer satisfaction is providing them with an experience they can rave about. A scuffed car from a parking lot in bad shape warrants many complaints to friends and family, which will sway their opinions of your establishment.
Decreased liability. The more upkeep you do on your concrete parking lot, the less complaints you will likely hear from patrons. Additionally, if a person files a liability claim due to parking lot damage, the media can get involved and create a bad reputation for your business.
Cost reduction. The quicker you attend to the damages in your concrete lot, the lower the cost will be. Any seriously damaged or neglected areas will surely increase the time and money spent on making necessary repairs.
At Frison Construction, we understand the value of time and money, and that’s why we use High Early mix concrete for our commercial projects. This specific type of concrete is great for fixing heavily cracked areas or potholes in your parking lot and allows us to do the job quicker over other brands. It also dries faster than other types of concrete so your parking lot does not have to be out of use for too long! When you choose Frison Construction, you are choosing a company that will work hard to get the job done right the first time and will never cut any corners to get it done. Below is a list of important steps we take to ensure your concrete parking lot is repaired the correct way.
If we are fixing a pothole, keep in mind that we won’t just simply fill it in and be done with it. We will take the extra step to cut out a square shape, demolish it, haul it away, prepare this new space with #4 rebar, and pour in the new concrete mixture for a smooth and complete finished look.
As concrete tends to crack, we will apply control joints or expansion joints that can help to control these cracks.

Ready-mix concrete is mixed in different ways to achieve certain strengths. Standard concrete mix for commercial pavement is 3000 PSI, high early is 5000 to 7000 PSI.
After repairs are finished using High Early concrete, cars will be able to drive again after only a few hours. If you work with a company that uses standard concrete, you can expect to wait anywhere from 1 to 3 days before cars can drive on your lot.
Yes. We do recommend using High Early because of the many benefits that come with it, but you can use regular concrete if you feel that better suits your needs.
The only time inspection is required is when we pour concrete on the sidewalks or on any driveways connecting to the city.
